General questions

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_toggle title=”Do I have to print my NZeTA?”]No, you are under no obligation to print your NZeTA, once approved, your NZeTA will be automatically shared with your airline and New Zealand Immigration Service.

However, we do recommend that you carry a copy of this with you inside your passport, so that you can provide this if you are asked to do so on arrival.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Do I need a visa for New Zealand?”]Travelers with Dutch and Belgian nationality do not need a visa for New Zealand for a stay shorter than 90 days. However, travelers without a visa need a valid NZeTA. An NZeTA is easier and cheaper to apply for than a visa. Before applying, please check whether you meet the conditions of the NZeTA.

Travelers who hold a valid New Zealand visa, New Zealand or Australian passport do not need to apply for NZeTA.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is a NZeTA?”]NZeTA is short for “New Zealand electronic Travel Authority” and is an electronic travel permit (visa waiver) for New Zealand. If you
apply for an NZeTA online here, you do not need to have a visa applied by the embassy. The NZeTA will be digitally linked to the passport after approval.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”For whom is the NZeTA suitable?”]

– Participating in unpaid amateur sport

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How long is the NZeTA valid?”]

The NZeTA’s period of validity is 2 years from the date of grant. You can enter New Zealand an unlimited number of times with this visa. However, each stay may only last a maximum of 90 consecutive days and In each 12-month period, a maximum of 6 months may be resided in New Zealand.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Am I eligible for an NZeTA?”]To be eligible for an ESTA you must:

– Must not have imposed a prison sentence or be suspected of a fact that could lead to this.

In other cases you need to apply for a regular visa, contact us for the possibilities.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Do children need to have their own NZeTA visa?”]

A child (with or without supervision) must also have his / her own NZeTA to travel in New Zealand. Please note, it is not possible to apply for an NZeTA for children that is credited in the passport of one of the parents. Every child therefore needs his / her own passport and NZeTA to travel in New Zealand. It is of course possible for parents to apply for NZeTA for their child.

Before applying, please check whether you meet the conditions of the NZeTA.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Do I have to obtain a New Zealand visa in advance?”]

Yes, every traveler who arrives in New Zealand by water / sea or air must apply for an NZeTA in advance.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How much does the NZeTA cost?”]

The New Zealand Government levies a tourist tax called “International Visitor Conservation Levy” (IVL) which costs NZ$ 35,00 and is included in our visa fee.

For the handling of your NZeTA application, we charge a rate from € 42,95 for a tourist visa and € 74,95 for a business visa. This rate includes VAT, processing costs, transaction costs, consular costs and any assistance with your application.

If you want to use the urgent procedure, there is an extra charge of € 14,50.

[/vc_toggle][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Questions about the Electronic Travel Authorization

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_toggle title=”How do I apply for a NZeTA?”]

To apply for an NZeTA, simply fill out our online application form on this website. After filling in you will be redirected to our payment page from where you can pay quickly and easily with iDeal, Paypal, Bancontact or Credit card.

As soon as the payment has been made, we will process your request. You will always receive, within 72 hours (also check your junk mail folder), an email stating whether your NZeTA has been approved or rejected.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Which information is needed in order to obtain a New Zealand visa?”]

Applying for the NZeTA is simple, you only have to fill in the online application form, it is important to have your passport (which is still valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure from New Zealand) at hand.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”When do I need to apply for a NZeTA?”]

Because the application is done via our online application form, you can request an NZeTA from us 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The normal delivery time is 5 working days. You can also check the option “urgent delivery”, the application will be processed immediately, but we recommend that you request the NZeTA at least 72 hours before your departure. Despite the fact that 90% of all urgent applications are granted within the hour, it is possible that the immigration service may experience a delay of up to 72 hours due to a manual check of an employee.

If the application is rejected, a different type of visa must be applied for, which can sometimes take weeks. That is why the New Zealand Immigration Service recommends applying for the NZeTA as early as possible.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I haven’t booked a flight yet nor do I know the traveldates yet. Can I still apply?”]

Even if you do not yet have a specific travel plan, you can apply for an NZeTA. However, the destination must be tourist, business or a transfer. It is therefore not mandatory to submit more specific travel plans than the above mentioned with the application.

On the NZeTA application form an expected arrival date is requested, this can be estimated, if the actual date differs far from it, that is not a problem.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is there an urgent procedure available?”]

Yes, we also offer an urgent procedure, the normal delivery time is 5 working days.

However, no guarantee can be given on the delivery times, even with an urgent request.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can I apply a NZeTA for someone else?”]Yes, you can fill in all fellow travelers in one application. You can also apply for an NZeTA for someone else in case you do not travel yourself. Obviously, you must have permission to use all data and documents required to apply for an NZeTA from the relevant traveler(s).[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does my passport state the letter O or the number 0?”]

Document numbers in the Netherlands never contain the letter “O”, but they can contain the number “0”. Even though it seems that there is a letter O in your passport, it will be the number 0. It is also important to know that document numbers in the Netherlands are 9 characters long.

Belgian document numbers may include the letter (s) “O” and / or the number “0”. Belgian document numbers are 8 characters long and always start with 2 letters followed by 6 numbers.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I am a status holder and do not have a Dutch passport. Can I apply for a NZeTA?”]

Status holders living in the Netherlands who are in possession of a residence permit cannot apply for NZeTA. A traveler may only apply for an NZeTA with an officially issued Dutch passport.

If you are a status holder with a residence permit but no Dutch passport, it is only possible to travel to New Zealand with a visa.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”We are traveling as a group. Can I also apply for a NZeTA for the other travelers?”]

Yes, it is possible to add multiple travelers to New Zealand together on one application form. Because a lot of data only has to be entered once, this can save a lot of input.

[/vc_toggle][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Change or cancel an existing application

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_toggle title=”Is it possible to change the information on my NZeTA?”]Until you have paid the NZeTA application, you can still change all fields in the online application form. After the NZeTA application has been paid, we will immediately process it and only adjusting your e-mail address is still possible. Therefore, before you are taken to the payment page, you will be asked to confirm that the information is correct. Please check this carefully.

If an error was made in the application, you must submit a new application. If the details on your NZeTA do not match those on your passport, your NZeTA is not valid. Any costs for a new application will be for your own account.

Although we at Traveldocs.nl always try to detect and solve any errors, we are under no circumstances responsible and / or liable for the data that has been incorrectly or incompletely filled in by the applicant on the application form.

It is also not possible to change or cancel the data if the NZeTA travel authorization is rejected.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can I cancel my NZeTA application?”]Cancellation is only possible before payment is completed. As soon as we have received the payment for your NZeTA application, we will immediately process it and refund your payment from that moment on.

If you made a mistake with the application, you can submit a new application. Costs for this new application are entirely at your own expense.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can I get my money back if I decide not to use the NZeTA visa?”]If your NZeTA application is approved, you will never receive a refund. Even if you do not use your NZeTA travel authorization.

[/vc_toggle][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
