The visa on arrival is valid for 30 days after issuance and within this period you must enter the country. Once inside, you get another 30 days of stay. You can also apply for this visa - to avoid queues - online through Traveldocs these days. In total, the VoA Indonesia does not allow you to stay in the country for more than 60 days.

If you want to go to Indonesia for a vacation or business trip, you must apply for an Indonesia visa before entering the country. The visa is a digital document issued by the Indonesian government and is added separately to the passport by the traveler. With this Indonesia visa, you have permission to enter the territory of Indonesia. This B211 visa is usually issued by the Indonesian embassy in The Hague or the General Director of Immigration in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Do I have to apply for a visa for Indonesia?

If you have a Dutch or Belgian passport and plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 30 consecutive days for a vacation or business trip, you must apply for a visa for Indonesia before departure. This allows you to stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days—extendable to a maximum of 180 days. If your stay is shorter than 30 days, you can obtain a Visa on Arrival upon arrival in Indonesia or enter the country visa-free.

If you choose to stay visa-free in Indonesia for up to 30 days, you are required to leave the country on the 30th day. You can extend your visa-free entry by an additional 30 days while in Indonesia.

How long am I allowed to stay in Indonesia?

If you apply for the Visa on Arrival, you will receive 30 consecutive days of stay in Indonesia, with a possible extension of 30 days.

If you apply for the regular tourist visa, you can stay in Indonesia for up to 60 consecutive days, with the option to extend it twice for 60 days each time.

How do I apply for a visa for Indonesia?

The procedure for applying for a visa to Indonesia starts online. You need to open the online application form. After filling in all the details of the respective traveler(s), the application can be paid very easily. This can be done via iDeal, Bancontact, PayPal, or credit card. Once the payment is completed, you will receive an email from us within a maximum of 1 working day with instructions on how to provide the required documents.

For submitting these documents, you can choose to deliver them in person to our office, send them by email, or send them via registered mail or courier. Of course, you can also use our secure pickup service for a fee.

Once the visa is ready, you will receive it by email. You need to print it in duplicate (one Indonesian version and one English version) and take it with you on your trip. Therefore, keep the visa separate in your passport before you travel.

How far in advance of the trip can I apply for the visa for Indonesia?

The application for the visa for Indonesia can be made between 90 days and about one week before departure, depending on the type of visa you choose. To ensure that the visa is granted on time, we recommend submitting the application a few weeks before departure.
