The electronic visa (e-visa) for Russia is a single-entry digital visa that allows foreign citizens to visit Russia without applying for a paper visa at a consulate. Only citizens of countries approved by the Russian government are eligible.
The e-visa is valid for entry and exit through specific border crossing points designated by the Russian authorities. Applicants do not need an invitation letter, hotel booking, or other documents to prove the purpose of their visit.
It can be used for private or business visits, tourism, participation in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, or sporting events, and related communications. E-visa holders have freedom of movement within Russia, except for areas requiring special permits.
The e-visa is valid for 120 days from the issue date, with a maximum stay of 30 days. Both arrival and departure days count. Extensions are only possible in emergencies or force majeure situations.
Your passport must be machine-readable, valid for at least 6 months, and have enough space for stamps. A separate e-visa is required for minor children. Medical insurance is mandatory, except for citizens of countries exempted by reciprocity.
