Yes, EU citizens need a visa to enter Bangladesh.

 Personal attendance is not required. However, you must appear if specifically requested by the embassy.

Anyone can receive your passport from the embassy, provided you issue a letter of authorization stating that someone else will pick up the passport on your behalf. He or she must be able to show his or her valid ID.

• A correctly completed visa application form (downloadable from the embassy's website) with three recently taken color passport photos
• At least 6 months valid with two blank pages, original passport together with copies of the information page (citizens other than Dutch, Polish, Croatian and Bosnian citizens should submit a residence permit or proof of residency issued by the Dutch authorities)
• Flight details/booking for a visit to Bangladesh (a confirmed ticket is not required)
• All applicants who are under 18 years of age must provide a written consent from their parents with their copies of passports/IDs along with their birth certificate/municipal certificate (extract).

• Invitation and statement from the relevant company/organization from Bangladesh and the Netherlands/Europe.
