Meaning ETA
An electronic travel authorization (eTA) is an entry document for visa-exempt foreigners traveling to Canada by air. An eTA is electronically linked to the traveler's passport. It remains valid for up to five years or until the passport's expiration date, whichever is earlier. If you get a new passport, you must apply for a new eTA.
