Validity period of the e-visa
If you want to travel to Uganda for tourism or business purposes, you will need an e-visa. The standard e-visa for Uganda is a single entry visa, valid for three months and allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days. It is important to note that visa applications for Uganda can only be made online; it is no longer possible to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport.
Conditions of the e-visa
Anyone traveling to Uganda must possess a valid travel document and a valid visa. Upon arrival in Uganda, your travel document must still be valid for at least 6 months. It is no longer possible to submit a visa application at the airport. Therefore, submit your application on time.

Transfer with e-visa
You will need a transit visa if you are in Uganda for a transfer. When applying, you need to upload a copy of your passport and a recent color passport photo. We also need proof of vaccination against Yellow Fever, a cover letter (explaining the reason for the transit) and the country of final destination. This letter should be written in English.
