What information is required for a visa application for Uganda?

Do I need to have accommodations and flight tickets booked before applying for the visa?

For the application for a Uganda visa, you need a return ticket in your name, or if you haven’t received it yet, a booking reservation in your name that shows when you will enter and exit Uganda. It must be the actual reservation with your name and travel itinerary, not just the invoice!

What must my passport comply with for the Uganda visa?

The passport must be valid for at least six months after arriving in Uganda. It must also contain at least one blank page.

Is there an O (letter) or a 0 (number) in my passport?

Document numbers in the Netherlands never contain the letter “O,” but they can contain the number “0.” So even if it appears that there is a letter O in your passport, it will actually be the number 0. It’s also important to note that document numbers in the Netherlands are 9 characters long. Belgian document numbers can include the letter(s) “O” and/or the number “0.” Belgian document numbers are 8 characters long and always begin with 2 letters followed by 6 digits.

What if I made a mistake while filling out the document online?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to make changes to already submitted applications. The only way to correct a mistake is to submit a new application. In this case, the payment will also need to be made again.

Will I get a refund if I do not use my visa?

If your application is approved, you will not receive a refund under any circumstances, even if you do not use your visa. Therefore, it is no longer possible to request a refund after submitting your application.

Can I still cancel my visa?

Cancellation is only possible before the payment has been completed. Once we have received the payment for your visa application, we will process it immediately, and a refund of your payment will no longer be possible from that point on. If you made a mistake in your application, you can submit a new visa application. The costs for this new application will be entirely at your own expense.
