TRAVEL TO THAILAND INSURANCE OR OTHER WORLDWIDE COUNTRIES:

Covid-19 has changed our lives and will continue to do so in the years to come. This includes if you want to travel to Thailand or other countries, for holidays or to return to your lifestyle. You will then need health insurance to cover any medical expenses which you may incur because of Covid for USD 100,000. That sounds very difficult, but there is good news: Traveldocs is going to help you. You can of course contact us by email or phone or reply to us with your email address, phone number and we will contact you for further action.

Since the 1st of November 2021, you will need to apply for the Thailand Pass to be able to enter Thailand. An insurance policy with a coverage of minimum 20,000 USD including COVID coverage is mandatory.
All our insurance plans meet the insurance requirements. With effective date 15 February 2022, the coverage for asymptomatic cases is going to change as follows:
Clients who are tested positive to Covid-19 and who do not present any of the below symptoms, no longer need to quarantine as per the latest regulations of the Ministry of Public Health.

  • When the fever is higher than 39 degrees Celsius for more than 24 hours
  • Breathe 25 times faster per minute in adults
  • Oxygen saturation < 94 %
  • Diseases that have changed or need to be closely monitored symptoms at the discretion of the physician
  • For children, if they have difficulty breathing, lethargy, or eat less

Therefore, the insurers will no longer offer coverage for the quarantine expenses of asymptomatic clients as it is no longer medically necessary for such cases to be placed under quarantine. This will also mean no coverage for flights which need to be cancelled after testing positive.

Should asymptomatic clients choose to quarantine in a hotel/hospitel or self-isolate on their own accord, their isolation expenses (room, food, alcohol gel, masks etc…) will not be covered by the insurance policy.

However, should asymptomatic clients be clinically advised and referred by a medical professional (e.g. certified doctor) to forced quarantine in a hospital or hospitel, their isolation expenses will be covered by the insurance policy.
