Application related information
How do I apply for a visa for Cambodia?

The Cambodia visa application process begins online. To do this, open the online application form. After filling in all the details of the relevant traveler(s), the application can be paid very easily. This is possible with iDeal, Bancontact, Paypal or credit card. When the payment has been completed, you will receive an e-mail from us (within a maximum of 2 working days) with instructions on how to submit the necessary documents for the Cambodia visa and how to process it.

After the visa has been granted, you will receive it from us by e-mail. You must print this yourself in duplicate and in color and put it in the passport. You may attach these papers with a staple to a blank visa page in the passport, to avoid losing them during your stay in Cambodia.

How far in advance can I apply for a Cambodia visa?

You can apply for the Cambodia visa between a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 90 working days before departure, depending on the visa type you have chosen. To ensure that the visa is issued on time, we recommend that you submit the application a few weeks before departure. You can find more information about this on the delivery times page.
However, the embassy reserves the right at all times to take longer to assess your application than the stated average processing time for this.

Is it possible to apply for others or as a group?

Yes, it is possible to add multiple travelers traveling to Vietnam together on one application form. In order to do this, you must have all passport data as other travel data of the travel companions concerned. Because a lot of information only has to be entered once, this can save a lot of input.

General questions
Do I need a visa for Cambodia?

Yes, travelers who do not hold Cambodian nationality and wish to travel to Cambodia must apply for a visa prior to departure. There are electronic and regular visas available. The e-visa for tourists and business travelers can be applied for via our website. Additionally, we also offer the option to apply for a regular visa (with or without urgency), possibly with multiple entries. Contact us if you are unsure which visa applies to your trip.

How long can I stay in Cambodia?

Within the validity of your Cambodia visa, you may stay in the country for up to 30 days at a time within the 90-day validity period. Other visa types may have different conditions. Please contact us for more information.

Can I travel to Cambodia multiple times with the e-visa?

With the Cambodia visa, you can only enter the country once. If you wish to travel to Cambodia multiple times, you must apply for a multiple-entry visa in the form of a passport sticker. We have different rates for this, depending on the number of entries/validity period. Please visit the Cambodia visa page for rates and how we calculate the total price.

How long is my e-visa for Cambodia valid?

The Cambodia visa is valid for 90 days from the date it is issued. You may stay in Cambodia for a maximum of 30 days within this 90-day period. Therefore, your stay in Cambodia must not exceed the validity period of the visa.

How much does a visa cost and how long does the process take?

The costs for the visa vary per visa and processing time. Look on this page for the rates and the structure of the total price of the desired visa type.

Normally the delivery time of both the business and tourist visa is 5 working days. The urgent procedure normally takes 3 working days.

However, the embassy and consulate reserve the right at all times to take longer than the specified processing time to assess your application.

What are the differences between the available visas?

There are two types of visas: the regular visa (in the passport) and an e-visa.

The regular visa appears in your passport, which you must apply for well in advance. The advantage of this is that you can choose between a single or multiple entry. Additionally, the visa has a validity period of 3 months instead of 30 days. You can also change your arrival and departure dates as long as they fall within the validity period of the visa. The downside is that this takes 6 working days, the costs are slightly higher, and you must submit the required documents physically rather than digitally.

The e-visa for Cambodia is valid for 90 days after issuance. Within this period, you can stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days. Upon both entry and exit, you must present a copy of the visa to the immigration officers, so you should bring 2 printed copies with you. Nationalities (for example, outside the EU) that are not allowed to travel to Cambodia with an e-visa can apply for a regular visa.

The purpose of your trip determines which type of visa you need to apply for. If you are unsure which visa is most applicable to your situation, please feel free to contact us! Our staff can advise you on this.

What type of visa do I need for my vacation in Cambodia?

Do you have Dutch or Belgian nationality and do you want to stay in Cambodia for less than 30 days? Then you can apply for the e-visa. In all other cases you need to apply for a passport sticker visa at the embassy.

What do I have to do after receiving my e-visa for Cambodia?

After you have received the e-visa, you must print it twice and take it with you when traveling to Vietnam, 1 print you hand in when you enter and 1 print you hand in when you leave Vietnam. Also check to be sure that the information on the visa matches the information in your passport.
