How do I apply for a Digital Immigration Card?

The procedure for applying for the Digital Immigration Card starts with us simply online.

To do this, you open the online application form. After filling in all the details of the relevant traveler(s), you can make the payment.

This can be done very easily via iDeal, PayPal, Bancontact, or with your credit card. Once the payment is completed, you will receive a confirmation email from us (within a maximum of 1 hour). In this email, we will provide you with instructions on submitting the required information.

Can I apply for a Digital Immigration Card for Curaçao for someone else?

Yes, in one application you can fill in all fellow travelers. Even if you are not traveling yourself, you can apply for a Digital Immigration Card for someone else.

Of course, you must have permission from the relevant traveler(s) to use all their data and documents.

Can I also make a group application?

Yes, it is possible to add multiple travelers to one application form who are traveling to Curaçao together. Many details only need to be filled in once, saving a lot of filling out work.

My Digital Immigration Card has been applied for but I have not received an email, what now?

Do I need a visa for Curaçao?

Since October 2019, it has been mandatory for all travelers from the EU to apply for digital authorization before departure for Curaçao.

Previously, travelers had to fill out an Embarkation and Disembarkation (ED card) on the plane en route to Curaçao. This is no longer possible, and you are now required to apply for a Digital Immigration Card well in advance of your departure.

What is the Digital Immigration Card?

The Digital Immigration Card is a mandatory digital form for every visitor to Curaçao.

What information do I need to provide for the Digital Immigration Card application?

To apply for the Digital Immigration Card, you need to:

Have a valid passport.

• Know your flight number and date.

• Be able to provide proof of your first stay, such as a hotel reservation or an address of family or friends.

Your passport must meet the following requirements:

It must be valid for at least 6 months after your arrival in Curaçao.

I have Belgian nationality and do not have a Social Security Number (BSN), what should I fill in?

You can enter nine zeros (000000000) in the field on the application form.

Does the letter O or the number 0 appear in my passport?

Dutch document numbers, such as a passport number, never contain the letter “O” but may include the digit “0”. It may appear that there is a letter “O” in your passport, but it is actually the digit 0. It is also important to note that document numbers in the Netherlands are 9 characters long.

Belgian document numbers can contain the letter “O” and/or the digit “0”. Belgian document numbers are always 8 characters long and will always start with 2 letters, followed by 6 digits.

What if I made a mistake while filling out the document online?

Unfortunately, once the application has been submitted, it is not possible to make changes. The only way to correct a mistake is to submit a new application. In this case, the payment will also need to be made again.

Will I get a refund if I don’t use my visa for Curaçao?

If your application is approved, you will not receive a refund, even if you do not use your visa for Curaçao.

Therefore, once you submit your application, it is no longer possible to request a refund.

Can I cancel my visa for Curaçao?

Cancellation is only possible before the payment has been completed. Once we have received the payment for your visa application, we will process it immediately, and a refund of your payment is no longer possible from that point on.

If you made a mistake in your application, you can submit a new visa application for Curaçao. The costs for this new application will be entirely at your expense.
