What is a(n) (e-)visa for Vietnam?
If you want to go to Vietnam for a holiday or business trip, you must apply for a regular visa before entering the country. The visa is a sticker, which is issued by the Vietnamese government and is affixed to the passport. With this visa you have permission to enter the territory of Vietnam. This visa is usually issued by the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in The Hague.
The visa will be checked during passport control in Vietnam. If you arrive by plane, the first visa check will probably already take place at the airport.
Our staff works professionally to ensure that your Vietnam visa application is presented flawlessly at the Vietnamese Embassy, so you can travel with confidence.

Which types of visa are available?
For Vietnam there is a visa on arrival (which requires prior approval), as well as an electronic and a regular visa. These are intended for business and tourist purposes.
What are the differences between the avaiable visas?
The differences and advantages and disadvantages of the visas are as follows:
Visa on Arrival
• Here you pay at Traveldocs to request approval. You will show this approval upon arrival in Vietnam. This means that the Vietnamese government gives you permission to purchase a visa on arrival. This visa on arrival costs approximately $ 25 US dollars. The costs must be paid upon arrival in Vietnam and are not included in the service we provide.
• The advantage of this is that you do not have to send a passport scan and a passport photo and do not have to worry about pre-arranging a visa and the costs. The disadvantage is that you have to pay again on arrival and you may have to deal with long waiting times and queues at the airport.
Electronic visa (e-visa)
• The electronic visa is a visa, which we can provide completely digitally for you. For this we serve the eea. to receive from you by email.
• The advantage is that you can immediately enter the city upon arrival in Vietnam and you do not have to wait and no longer have to deal with additional later costs. The disadvantage is that this electronic visa can only contain one entry and is only valid for 30 days. The e-visa is also not valid at all border crossings, you must check this in advance.
Regular visa (in the passport)
• The regular visa will be in your passport, which you must apply for a long time in advance.
• The advantage of this is that you can choose from a single or multiple entry. In addition, the visa is valid for 3 months instead of. 30 days. You can also change your arrival and departure date, as long as it falls within the validity of the visa. The disadvantage is that this takes 6 working days, the costs are slightly higher and you have to deliver the necessary documents to us physically, instead of digitally.
The purpose of your trip determines the type of visa you need to apply for. If you are unsure which visa is most applicable to your situation, do not hesitate to contact us! Our visa experts can advise you on this.
